2026 Thursday 9 Hole League Week 15 Recap, Double Point Position Night… Oh, the drama..

Well here we are boys, at the end of the line for 2026. Shizzle menizzle… It’s double point position night, da shits finna git real now… We are currently in negotiations with representatives for Snoop Dogg to be the guest relegator in 2027…. more to come.

In Division 1, nobody is safe at the top or the bottom of the division. The tension has been simmering for weeks now and it finally hit its peak after week 15. Teams near the cutline are feuding and threating to break up, with back room negotiations of transfers to other teams fueling the fire. There have been threats of presidential executive actions and responding board resignations and legal challenges. Things could look a lot different around here next year! Teams near the Division 1 cutline are asking if they can take their team number to Division 2. Answer is no – this isn’t NASCAR dude, you don’t own the damn team number and get to take it like a kid on the playground who didn’t get picked for 5 on 5 and decides to take his ball and go home. Now if you pay the $10,000 team charter fee then maybe we can negotiate…. If you don’t like it, try not playing like an a** so much.

The Sams/Seider/Gridley team have seemingly accepted their fate and are already making friends with the dudes in Division 2. We might have to rename Division 2 the Gummy Division for 2027. Hey Division 2 guys, don’t try to hang with Sams in the bar week 1 next year, you guys need to work your way up to that we don’t want anyone to get hurt.

In Division 2, the Nigh/MacLachlan/Rorabeck team have taken their relegation like the honorable men they are and grabbed the 2026 season by the throat. After that it is a complete free-for-all. The Knudsen/Knudsen/Tangney team have rebounded from the scandals of 2025 and have put themselves back in position for promotion in 2026. Other recent D1 teams like McCabe/McCabe/Knecht, Oaks/Noonan/Jahnke/Smith and Hensel/Koppleman/Wetzel are still within striking distance.

The Nemec/Nemec team was talking all kinds of smack to certain D1 teams a few weeks ago but have fallen on hard times in recent weeks. Better get 30 points next week or you’ll have to call the A-Team, I love it when a plan comes together!

The tiebreakers used for seeding for week 16 position night is total team points from Week 15. No, its not made up, its on the website and was given to me by Marty when I took over Thursday night league 6, 7, 10 years ago or whenever that was. That means Sujecki/Rickertsen are in the 2 spot, Flanagan/Biever are 3rd, Strackbein/Wurster are10th, Schneider/Grabow/Snyder are11th, French/Klinger/Brzezinski are 12th, and Oleson/Oleson/Hunt/Reuteman are 13th.

End of season tiebreaker for payout and promotion/relegation is total team points from Week 16, so if you think you’re going to mail it in if you are anywhere near promotion or relegation cut lines better think again!

**** BE AT THE COURSE READY TO PLAY AT 4:15PM THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 3rd ****

*** DOUBLE POINT POSITION NIGHT ***

Now to the the messages and results from week 15;

  1. Scorecards are sloppy, its not that hard…if it’s a mess when you are done playing consider deciding who has the best penmanship in the foursome and copying it to a new one when you get in the clubhouse. If you are in a foursome with Mongo, he automatically wins…
  2. Make sure you look at the divisions on the flag events since we are all playing the same side of the course. Knudsen, you are still in Division 2 after the offspring trading scandal of 2025…
