Thank you to everyone who participated in Week 1. This week’s contest was Stableford.
Before we go on to the results, a few comments on no-shows. One of the appealing aspects of the 18 hole league is you are not obligated to play each week. We definitely recognize that everyone has things come up from time to time or that weather conditions may not be compatible with a persons ability to enjoy playing. However, when you sign up and do not show, please consider the downstream effects on your fellow players. We have had several instances where 2 or 3 players in a foursome have not shown up. This leaves a group of 1 or 2 that will likely be stuck among foursomes which makes for a long day of constantly waiting to hit shots and negatively affects the playing experience.
1) If you know you cannot make it before registration closes at noon on Wednesday, please update your registration to remove yourself from that week’s event – or ask the person that made the registration to remove you. If you are the person that made the registration but others in your registration are still playing, please let Dave know so he can exclude you from the pairing.
2) If registration is closed but it is still the day before play, please let Dave know so he can remove you and adjust pairings as needed. We do not start creating the pairings until after the registration has closed for that particular week.
If something comes up and you just can’t make it without any notice, that’s ok, we just want to keep the no shows limited to special circumstances to make sure everyone has a good playing experience.
Please continue to double check the signup sheet to make sure tee times are not duplicated or over filled! It’s been really good the last few weeks thank you for your help.
