2026 Wednesday Night 9 Hole League Week 16 Results
August 24, 2026
The 16th week and also the last week of actual play has been accomplished. No rainouts for the season. Division Playoffs are next week on the 26th and Sept. 2nd. A separate note has been sent to all explaining these playoffs. As of this preparation I sent and email to 54 possible players that had not indicated to me or maybe they did but my old brain could not remember. I have only received two responses, one positive (willing to play) and one negative (Unable to play). There were only 2 errors on scorecards this last week. The final standings are listed below. It may be a few weeks before you know what $$$ your team has won. Assume that it will be split equally among team members so I will list it that way unless a team has another split they want to do. First, you will have to let me know. The final statistics will also be coming out in the future. If you would like a hard copy of what I used to get the final figures let me know and I will send them to you. In Div2 0-6 Handicap had a carryover already for next year. Some notable play this past Wednesday night came from Cory Gasper who had 4 birdies and shot a 34. Brad Finger, Rob Martin, Ken Kosanke, Nolan Masterson and Mike Walden each had 2 birdies. There were again 26 total birdies this week with 11 birdies NOT-IN the skins. There were 3 birdies for skins in Div1 7+ handicap but they were NOT-IN so PARS prevailed with a total of 6 skins between 3 players. Div2 7+ hdcp. had only 1 birdie and took all the $$$

The 15th week of actual play has been accomplished. Still no rainouts. 1 week left plus two more weeks for divisional playoffs. Many more subs are playing. If they are not on the Wednesday list for handicap they should check the blue binder that has all of the handicaps for the all the club members. Check the right side of the page for white and gold tees. Can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed. Please signup for the divisional playoffs. A separate note has been sent to all explaining these playoffs. There were only 2 errors on scorecards and three birdies were not circled. It appears that maybe someone forgot to take their change when signing up for skins. If you think you are the one please drop me a note and tell me the amount of $$ you forgot to take when making change. Trevor Seider had 3 birdies and shot a 35. Tom Halla had 2 birdies and Ken Kosanke 1 birdie while each shooting a 35. Jeff Weirzba had 2 birdies and shot a 36. There were 26 total birdies this week with 7 birdies NOT-IN the skins. There were no birdies for skins in Div1 7+ handicap so PARS prevailed. The 14th week of actual play has been accomplished. Still no rainouts. 2 weeks left plus two more weeks for divisional playoffs. New record this week for scorecard turn-in. All were in by 7:58 which was 5 minutes sooner. Way to go Fugi. Many more subs are playing. If they are not on the Wednesday list for handicap they should check the blue binder that has all of the handicaps for the all the club members. Check the right side of the page for white and gold tees. Can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed. Only 2 scorecards had errors, each from Division1. Please signup for the divisional playoffs. If you want to play, signup. Teams will be established based upon handicaps. Matt Meunier will handle the $$ for the skins and you will be responsible for the golf fees. Signup early if you want to play and we will figure out who plays who. The only monkey wrench in these times will be if there is a rain date between now and then. Some notable play this past Wednesday night came from Alex Perez who had 2 birdies and finished with a 35. Paul McCabe and Tom Halla each shot a 36 with 1 birdie. Jon Moore shot a 37 with 1 birdie while Chris Vitale and Peter Smith each had a 37 with no birdies. There were only 16 total birdies this week with 3 birdies NOT-IN the skins. There were no birdies for skins in either 7+ handicap range so PARS ONLY dictated the $$$. Division 2 0-6 Handicap will have a CARRYOVER for the 12th. The current standings for each division place 1-8 are listed below with total points with this weeks results shown to the right of last weeks. You can see how places may have changed or gotten closer or increased in the spread. There seems to be a runaway in DIV2. Some have dropped 2 places while others may have gained one or two places. Remember to sign in for the divisional play the two weeks following the end of regular league on August 19th providing there are no rainouts between now and then. It will also be position night. The signup sheet will be in the mix of stuff loose on the table. You sign up and I will form the matches for each division. Matt Meunier will handle the $$ for the skins and you will be responsible for the golf fees. Signup early if you want to play and we will figure out who plays who. Peter Smith, Al Schmidt and Jeff Fuggiasco each shot a 36 with 1 birdie. There were 25 total birdies this week with 3 birdies NOT-IN the skins.

The 12th week of actual play has been accomplished and flying by. Still no rainouts. 4 weeks left. No new record for scorecard turn-in. Any sub playing can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed with their handicaps as of the date in the upper right top of the page. 2 scorecards had errors. Mostly using the wrong handicap. I even had the spare sets of readers on the table this week. Even I make mistakes when it comes to scorecards. I played the front but took a blue scorecard filled out. Starting this week there will be a signup sheet for those of you that want to play in the Divisional Playoffs the two weeks following the regular season. The 11th week of actual play has been accomplished and flying by. Still no rainouts. The smoke from Canada started rolling in around 7:00. Air quality not so good. 5 weeks left. Another NEW record for card turn-in this week. It is now 8:03. Thanks to Dave Steffens and encouragement from Brian Clauter to get the scorecard in beating the old record by 5 minutes. Even now going into the 12th week there are some cards that don’t fillout the back of the card and still not showing which tees were played or even not showing the handicaps each person has. There sure would be a lot of whining if I made a schedule of deduction points depending on the presentation aspects of each card. Before that happens I will probably publish the names involved on the offending card. Any sub playing can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed with their handicaps as of the date in the upper right top of the page. Some notable play came from Nate Baer getting two birdies with a handicap of 15. Nate also had a 7 and 8 on the par 5s but still shot a 45. Pity the opponent. Tom Halla shot a 34 with 3 birdies. The 10th week of actual play has been accomplished and flying by. Still no rainouts. Water in some of the traps and standing water in various places had mud on the ball a few times during the round. 6 weeks left. The top spot in Div2 is within 1 point of 2nd place and is 3-1/2 points difference for Div1. New record for card turn-in this week. It is now 8:08. Thanks for getting them in as soon as you can after your round. Don’t forget to fill out the back of the card and mark if there is a sub playing. Any sub playing can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed with their handicaps as of the date in the upper right top of the page. IO only had to send out 2 emails for adjustments to a match. Some notable play came from Jay Radke winning a flag for hole 12 getting his ball within 1” of hole. At hole 9, Bob Marks hit his ball into the hole from off the green. Tom Halla shot the low of 34 with three birdies. Jon Moore and Matt Meunier shot 36 each. Ken Kosanke and Alex Perez had a 37. There were only 15 total birdies this week with 5 birdies NOT-IN the skins. This created some big payouts for the skins. Check the website for the full standings. The 8th week of actual play has been accomplished. First half of season is already over. All of the cards were accounted for in a new record time at 8:09 beating the current record by one minute. Don’t forget to fill out the back of the card and mark if there is a sub playing. Any sub playing can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed with their handicaps as of the date in the upper right top of the page. There was one card that had to be done completely over because they played the wrong person. Need to know which tees each player is playing. Jeff Fuggiasco from DIV2 shot a 36 with 2 birdies. Matt Meunier, Tom Halla, Jeff Fuggiasco, Jon Moore, Bill Silberzahn each had two birdies in their round. There were 27 total birdies this week with 10 birdies NOT-IN the skins. The 7th week of actual play has been accomplished. First of all, there was someone who asked me to check on something of which I have forgotten. So, if any of you had said something to me on the 17th that you would like me to check on, please let me know. It may involve points or handicaps that might relate to points. So please let me know. Thank you.
All of the cards were accounted for in a timely manner. Don’t forget to fill out the back of the card and mark if there is a sub playing. Any sub playing can find their handicap in the blue binder where all of the league members are listed with their handicaps as of the date in the upper right top of the page. Jeff Fuggiasco from DIV2 shot a 36 with 2 birdies. Matt Meunier and Tom Halla also shot 36s with two birdies each. Too bad they were on the same holes. Nolan Masterson also had an eagle on hole# 17 but was not in the skins. I saw a picture of the 2 ft. putt that Nolan Masterson had last week for his 2nd eagle of the season. There were 23 total birdies this week with 5 NOT-IN the skins.
